Doctoral Grants, Calmette Programme

The Institut Pasteur International Division will finance two doctoral fellowships for a duration of three years to allow students to realize their doctoral training in an institute of the Institut Pasteur International Network (RIIP) except metropolitan France. This fellowship aims at promoting and facilitating the realization of doctorate trainings of French and foreign researchers in a laboratory from the RIIP. This may apply to standard or jointly-supervised theses.
These doctoral grants are intended to promote mobility. The doctoral training must be performed outside its home country or outside the country in which the university studies were conducted.

The successful candidate will design, plan, and execute project strategy for nucleic acid purification and analysis technologies. Postdoctoral position in HIV

Our laboratory is looking for a motivated post doc to start on a project at the interphase between virology and immunology in the field of HIV from Sept -Dec 2012. Our goal is to apply for an ANRS fellowship as of March this year to be able to start the project on Sept-Dec 2012 for a length of 2 years.

The DAAD and “Roche Diagnostics” is offering scholarships for advanced research placements at one of Europe’s leading Biotechnology centres in Penzberg, near Munich. The scholarships are open to all highly qualified young post-doctoral scholars from EU countries, the USA and Canada. The scholarships are aimed at young post-doctoral researchers for whom experience in industrial research is an important qualifying step in their professional careers. Second African Society for Immunodeficiencies (ASID) Congress, Hammamet, Tunisia, March, 8-11 2012

From 8th to 11th of March 2012, the African Society for Immunodeficiencies (ASID) is organizing in Tunisia (Hammamet) its 2nd Congress and the 5th African Primary Immunodeficiencies School.
The objective of this event is to improve awarness of these diseases among african pediatricians and biologists and strengthen their capacities in the field of investigation and research on PIDs.
Eminent experts from USA, UK, France, Italy, China and specialists from Africa will contribute to this meeting and will share their experience.
Poster sessionss will be scheduled and a limited number of scholarships covering exclusively registration and accomodation of african candidates will be offered.

Theoretical and practical workshop on “Animal models for neurodegenration and behavioural tests for assessment of motor and cognitive function” which will take place in the Hellenic Pasteur Institute in Athens, Greece from January, 11-14 2012.
A limited number of travel grants is available for students and young scientists coming from outside Athens. Non-registered students can attend the theoretical (morning) sessions.
