octroie dès 2012 des bourses de recherche fondamentale en microbiologie et en immunologie effectuée dans le cadre d’une coopération internationale par des chercheurs travaillant en Belgique et des chercheurs de l’Institut Pasteur et/ou du Réseau International des Instituts Pasteur; en outre elle a instauré un Prix bisannuel de 10.000€, (Le Prix Jules Bordet), qui récompensera un travail de recherche.

The Embassy of France to the United States and the FACE Foundation are accepting application proposals for the Partner University Fund (PUF). PUF promotes innovative collaborations of excellence in research and education between French and American institutions of higher education. PUF supports emerging transatlantic partnerships with the potential to continue beyond the initial 3 year grant.

4th International course on Microbiology of Mycobacterium ulcerans, a causative agent of Buruli ulcer

Objective: provide indispensable knowledge for the detection of M. ulcerans in biological samples. The theoretical and practical sessions will permit the participants amongst several other things to:
1. Improve the quality of laboratory confirmation cases carried out in their respective countries,
2. Reach the WHO TAG recommendation to confirm at least 50% of their BU cases.

Scientific Meeting of the Young researchers of RIIP

The Board of Directors will gather all the Directors of the institutes from the Institut Pasteur International Network on November 8-9, 2011 at Institut Pasteur in Paris. On this occasion, a full day will be dedicated to a scientific meeting of young researchers (Master 2, PhD, junior researchers) working in Paris and in the Institut Pasteur International Network on November 10, 2011.

Two Post-Doctoral Positions – Applied Molecular Virology

Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK), a part of the international Institut Pasteur network, is located in Pangyo Techno Valley in close proximity to Seoul. Since its creation in 2004, IPK has grown rapidly with currently over 150 people from more than 12 countries. The Institute research focuses on cutting edge approaches in cell biology, automated microscopy and computer-aided image analysis to understand disease mechanism. IPK integrates all steps from basic cell biological research on various disease models to identification and development of novel therapeutics. Postulantes deben poseer el Grado de Doctor obtenido en los últimos tres años (o examen de Doctorado ad portas). Se espera que el postulante posea una fuerte formación en Microbiología, Biología Molecular y Bioquímica. Es deseable tener experiencia en biología molecular de bacterias, fisiología de bacterias y técnicas de análisis instrumental. Dominio del idioma inglés escrito y oral es indispensable. Se valora experiencia, proactividad, autonomía y capacidad de trabajo en equipo
