Three international training courses in field epidemiology, 2011
The International Field Epidemiology Training Program – Thailand would like to remind you for the deadline of the training course as below.
The Field Epidemiology Training Program-Thailand (FETP-Thailand) was established in 1980 with a collaborative effort of the Thai Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is the first field-based epidemiology training outside the America Continent which was modeled after the Epidemic Intelligence Service in the USA. The term “FETP” has been recognized as the applied epidemiology training that directly linked to public health services.Over 30 years, FETP – Thailand is the key player in Thailand to responses and solve major health problems of the country. In the area of public health emergencies, FETP trainees and alumni are the front liners in the field.
In 2011, three international training courses are now open to apply. Many of you may be interested in these courses which held at Thailand Ministry of Public Health. See more details at http://www.interfetpthailand.net

| WHY | Since the urgency of flu-pandemic preparedness and there are effort from various organization to establish FETP in Asia, this is a perfect time to expand training capacity for potential countries in this region. The field training is impossibly succeeded without sufficient trainers.
